Hi, I wonder if anyone has any ideas on this one:

Tanya keeps nibbling and licking the side of her foot and making it sore.

I have googled it and can't seem to find anything, just silly stuff comes up.

I will nip her to the vets tomorrow but just wondered if anyone had an idea why this is happening.

    many thanks :)

My bitch does this, f she has a pain or even an itch, be very careful, try putting a sock on it to stop her 'til you get her to the vets, as my girl will keep at it til she has developed a lick granuloma, this takes ages to clear, and involves a long course of antibiotics!

I went out shoping one morning, Sisk was fine no nibbling or licking at anything, I came back to this!!! 3 vet visit, and 4 weeks antibiotics to sort it!!

Thanks for your help, really appreciate it. Her wound looks a little like the one in the picture, will take her tomorrow. She had to have a toe amputated a while ago, wondered if it's nerve endings, will soon find out eh x

Hi hun here's another one for you to consider.

Candy was doing exactly the same thing and it turned out her anal glands were too full and this is how she was expressing her discomfort.

I know I felt so bad :( she showed no signs of her anal glands being full (scooting etc) so I had no clue until I got her to the vets. She was fine afterwards and some antibiotic cream healed up the sore :D
