Does anyone here know anything about it? work in this area?

I have an interview next week for a magazine selling advertising in this sector, and am trying to find out a bit more about it.

Or any good sites where I can do research...

I don't specifically know that much about the NHS but I know about the public sector. What are you trying to find out?

Just good sources for more info really.

Recruitment practices, trends, how the trusts are arranged, is all recruitment done through HR, processes for getting stuff signed off etc etc

Never really dealt with the public sector before, and need to put together a sales strategy for the interview

in oxfordshire, is generally done dept by dept and you'd need to speak to the dept manager (who is very busy and generally not available when calling, certainly aren't for the staff anyway lol). the dept manager then sorts it out via hr or if she's been there long enough does most of the leg work themselves with hr's backing.
Most of them are done through local papers but generally get their staff via recruitment agencys.

hope that helps :D if in doubt you can phone up your local hosp and ask to speak to hr about it and see what the county policy is,it may even be on the website.

The NHS recruitment site is good in that once you have completed one application form it is stored and when you apply for another job it uses the information from the last form so you don't have to re-do all the stuff that hasn't changed.

There are often jobs on the website that aren't advertised in my local paper.

Probably of no help to you at all, but thought I'd post it anyway:)
