New years day drive

    Went ouy new years day drive to Glencoe couldnt stay too long weather got really bad mist came down fast heavy sleet but was lovely drive anyway :D

    It is stunning westie ma scary in dark tho dozens deers some with antlers as big as car all over the road :eek: but during day its magical place :)

    Really should do Scotland one year, it looks gorgeous :D
    Are there many midgies, this is what puts me off :eek:

    Havnt had as much midges in last couple year usually in evening you get them near trees and water i hate them too :thumbup1: Hope you had nice new year :)

    The thing is, I get eaten alive by them and have a bad reaction :(
    I'd want to camp so would need to be careful.
    We had a quiet new year, just what I needed :)

    I LOVE Scotland and esp driving up through Glen Coe,you're so lucky living near there but then folk reckon I'm lucky living where I do :biggrin:

    Lucky you, I've done this drive a couple of years running in October time. Every single time it looks different - a landscape than expresses emotions!
    I'm not sure I'd want to do it at night - it's lonely enough in the daylight. But I have to say its the wilder open bits of scotland that keep me coming back - the fact that they're so unchanged and hopefully will still be that way long after I've rotted and gone :D

    We're off up to between Applecross and Gariloch this October, so shall be going that way either on the way up or down. Can't wait....:thumbup1:

    Where abouts in Scotland are you from? I know most those pictures anywhere:cornut: GlenCoe is a lovely area.

    Takes us 2 to 3 hours drive depending on traffic but well worth it :thumbup1:
