Testimonial by Riva Mayer from 2 for Cats a well known Cat Welfare Activist: Soulmate is a brilliant product that we use with one of our distressed cats as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation program. The product has helped calm him down and we apply it to his bedding as well as rub it on him!

Testminoial by Emily J. Bell (Cat Breeder): " WOW! Soulmate, Swiss Energy Release, is the best cat & kitten helper you can find. I have a multi-cat household as I am a cat breeder and show cats, so we do sometimes get a bit of friction in the house with new arrivals and kittens being born. I can honestly say that SoulMate has helped so much to alleviate any stress, tension and any possible ructions in the house, it's so simple to use and can even be used on nursing queens and their kittens, it really helps promote a sense of calm and wellbeing. We had a new boy arrive, he had a very long travel and we rubbed him and the other fur kids with SoulMate and it worked a treat, he kept calm and soon the clowder integrated. I can honestly say that using SoulMate has helped our cats as well as ourselves, it is a fabulous all natural product and I would certainly recommend SoulMate made by PerAnimal to everyone I meet, 10/10 product rating and a high 5 from me personally."

It certainly is! It's been developed by a team of swiss vets and pet pharma scientists.

The herbs used in the product have calming properties that work on mammals, birds, reptiles etc. and are safe for external and oral application. Unlike some other calming products it also has a very pleasent smell and is NOT oil based meaning it's easier to apply for us humans by warming it up in our hands before gently rubbing it into their fur. Especially in cats and dogs, this creates a positive reinforcement effect as they will associate the positive feeling generated by the herbs with their human companion. :)

I just thought that edelweiss was toxic to cats that's all.

Is the smell pleasant to humans or cats?

It's pleasant to both cats and humans. At least my four masters of mischief think so. ;)

And there are actually quite a few plants that have toxic parts for both humans and animals that are used in various herbal medicine (i.e. tea tree oil his highly toxic to cats and dogs in it's pure form yet it is used in a lot of anti-flea treatments, however in a ratio that is not harmful). It's all about which parts you use, how you use them and which ratio. PerAnimal uses the herbal essence of those plants only.

Also... I think Edelweiss itself has ended up on a number of pet toxicity lists by accident as the ASPCA published lavandula-x-intermedia-edelweiss as highly toxic to cats and dogs but that's not the same plant as the swiss edelweiss. Lavandula-x-intermedia-edelweiss is a white lavender and all lavender is toxic to cats as they lack an enzyme to break down one of the lavender chemicals.

We had five bottles at a cat event as an early trial batch and they went within the first few hours of the event. Got some good feedback from multi-cat households as well as it's worked better for the owners than feliway etc. :)
