They were so lovely and beautiful! I loved the tiniest quietest daxie! She’d be the one I’d take home as well!
I was so happy to see that lovely cane Corso showing everyone how sweet she was.
I was impressed by that 14 year old Yorkie! She was bouncing along happy as Larry! :)

I'm not even that bothered with puppies normally, I mean they are very cute and lovely but so are dogs in general. Those little sausages were killing me though :Arghh Must have reminded me of baby Toby.

    Poor Chester :(

    Whatever happened to him?

My lucky Saluki x is lying next to me on the sofa, safe and sound.

I hope Chester gets a new home. His new owners will need lots of patience and dedication to restore his confidence.

ETA: so glad he found a new, loving home! :)

Wasn't she a cutie, how ever could you drive away & not help her, I hope the same happens to them if they are ever hit!

It said she was hit my two cars and none of them stopped.

The cocker spaniel was cute! They found the perfect homes for the dogs tonight .

I think without knowing where it happened it may have been dangerous for the cars to stop, potentially causing further accidents. I have hit the odd wild creature on a fast road where stopping would have meant cars piling into the back of mine with potentially serious injury so it is difficult I think to be too judgemental about the people concerned. Saying that I have seen a loose dog at the side of a dual carriageway before now and, not being able to stop drove on to the next junction turned around and then around again so I could stop nearby and look for it, doubt many people would have done that.

Well done to the passerby for picking her up and taking her to the vet.

Yes that spaniel pup was the cutest. I'm glad Florence found a home she deserves it. That bulldog reminded me of the boxers.

I too stopped on the A46 stopping the traffic in both directions (as reported on TV that evening 'women stops traffic') with the aid of a Stobart lorry coming the opposite way to rescue two frightened dogs - dangerous yes but I could never have lived with myself had I not done it.

Kind of dispiriting to see twitter users' response to Spudnick who needed surgery just to be able to fulfil the basic biological function of breathing - still lots of 'cute, I want a/nother Frenchie' Too much tiptoeing around the issue imo, pogdogs/Battersea need to really spell it out. Glad Spuds got a good home with a member of staff though.
