Thank you all! Yes, he is a very chunky monkey :) He is only three/four weeks old in that pic I think, so he is going to be about eight weeks when I collect him this Friday. I am very excited and have bought all sorts to help him settle in here (I've even bought him a minature hot water bottle and fleece to snuggle up to in case he misses his mummy).

Any other tips to help him settle?

    I want him!!
    He is so cute.
I bet you can't wait for Friday to come along.
It sounds like you are all organized.
I think the main thing is when you get him home is to be with him.
Make sure there are no places he can hid and get stuck. Such as behind the cooker or fridge. Block up any small holes if you have any in your place. They can be little devils for finding places where they shouldn't go, like the chimney!! It might be best to keep him in one room at first.
What are you going to call him?

I have called him George - George the Ginger :) I will keep him confined to one room initially and have made sure that my diary is totally clear once he is home so that I can be around for him whilst he settles x

P.S. We already have a three year old female tortie. She is quite timid but is very good friends with the tom cat next door. How do you think they will be with one another and any tips to help their 'friendship' along once George arrives?
