You dont want it over tight, I can get a hand flat in between Dexters - but his is a very different style. Most harnesses with a bit of effort ( if a dog really really really wants to, or is practised at it) can be gotten out of, just like collars. Personally i would rather see the position of the lead ring at the back of the harness (unless it moves) otherwise surely this is just going to be pulling on the mesh bit which is round his neck like a collar anyway?
