Had the new floor tiles put down today, Isla has tried them for coolness and has said they are just right.

Trying to decide which colour grouting I should use. There are two browns, one lighter, one darker. I feel the darker one would be better because it wouldn't show any mud or dirt so easily. Asked OH and he said grey:rolleyes:o_O.

    What do you think?

The one on the right is the light brown which seems to look very light on this photo

If we guess correctly, do we get a cuddle with Isla? :Woot

The flooring is beautiful and exactly what I'd pick for my floors if my OH would let me change them :Shifty I like the bottom grouting, more of a brownish grey that blends into the tiles well...

but if it was me, I'd go for a very dark, almost black grey grout
    :p

The bottom one or the one on the right would be my choices.

Having thought about it, the one on the right would be my choice.

    Nice tiles :)

I would choose the middle grout as it won't show the dirt or discolour so easily.

Grey is not right at all IMO as the tiles appear to be on the brown spectrum.

Great answers from all of you, made I smile it did.

I prefer the dark brown, also has the added bonus of not looking dirty after a while.
The tiles are brownish rather then grey so it seems right to go for the brown grout. I don't suppose it will notice the grout after a week or two anyway.

The wall tiles have been easier to choose the grout for, they are four different colours but within the same spectrum. Cream, soft green, soft blue and a soft fawn, so a creamy coloured grout for them.

@Nettles, of course you can come and cuddle Isla. Just let me get the kitchen fisnished, then pop over. It's not that far is it:Smuggrin

I think some of us think grouting should contrast with tiles in a complimentary way so choose the darker colour. Others feel the grouting should blend the tiles together to form an almost uniform look.
