Hi all. We may be adopting a cat. He is 2 and a half, in good health and good with cats. Pepper used to live with a cat but has been here without one for nearly 4 weeks now.
I don't want to upset her. She is 5 months old by the way. Very playfull, loving and has settled right in.

What is the safest, kindest way to introduce?

Pic of possible new cat :D

id say let them have a sniff of eacother and sort it out, clip both cats nails then they cant really do harm unless they bite but that will be rare good luck:D

    Thank you :)

I'm very nervous about it. We are going to see him in about half an hour and if we are taking him we will be picking him up tomorrow.
It's very exciting but nerve racking incase it goes wrong. Yikes! Thanks for the luck, may need it! Lol

i dont think you should worry really as pepper is young enough to accept a new pal cats dont really fight bad unless they arnt neuterd and fighting for mating rights. is he neuterd i cant remember.

I will be asking that when I see him. I presume he is as he goes outdoors. If he isn't I will need to either keep them seperate untill he is or not take him :(

if hes not neuterd he maybe more bossy etc, if he goes out then you will have to keep him in for at least 4 weeks before letting him out again. has pepper been done? im guessing not..... it could be possible she could be done now depending on her size but you'd have to keep them seperated. Lets hope hes been done.

    Yes he's been neutered :D

Pepper hasn't been spayed yet but will be very soon.

He is used to being around cats, kittens and children. He's in good health and is gorgeous. I'm bringing him home Thursday!

Hehe, I guess it does. I am considering Teddy though.

I'll post some pics when he's here. I'm looking forward to him coming.

Thank you for your help and being so kind :)

Aww Teddy is cute but I do like Prince too, they would both suit him.

Congrats, can't wait to see more pics when you get him home :)

Thank you :D His name is a little strange though, his name is actually Prince Pink because when the owners originally got him they were told he was a girl. She named her Princess Pink to annoy her husband. And when they realised she was a he, they changed it to Prince Pink. Untill recently he even had a pink collar!

I like Teddy but my son doesn't  He wanted James or Michael!
I'm thinking Mogley is a maybe too.

I really like Teddy too. I'm working on my son! Lol.

Cheeko's cute, I like it spelt like that. We may though end up going for a Disney film character name. We have a few days to think about it.
