If he is a puppy he would get used to any name. Lots of people who rescue dogs change their names and they are older than a puppy. Just a thought so you are not restricted to certain names.

Why does it need to sound the same ? Our red boy was called Tut when we had him and he was 6 months old so had been called that for quite a while. We changed it to Rusty and he didn't even notice :p

    Kaiser (Kais for short?!)?

I think it helps if it sounds the same but most dogs are capable of learning a new name. Our 16 month old labrador when we got him was called Pop. We called him Milo, he got the hang of it OK and he's not the brightest chap

I vote Kaiser.... Only cos I'm a huge Kaiser Chiefs fan though :D

Ruby is named after their song but she would have been a Kaiser if she was a boy :) although that's pretty similar to Tiger

How old is the pup? Keep us updated and LOADS of piccies please :D

You can change it to something completely different, Pippi was called Gurt when I got her (yuck) and it took her only a few days to come to Pippi :D

    Names that sound similar:

    Pride
    Tribe
    Scribe
    Clive
    Clyde

    etc. :)

Prize isn't that bad but I like Pride or Tiger.

I may be having 2 whippets coming to me called Minni and Cooper yes their owner is a big mini fan. I hate Cooper as a name but as he is nearly 6 I think it will have to stay at least I don't already have a Minni or a Cooper.
