Can anyone recognise these symptoms? - my vet thought it might be ilios but wasn't sure. (He wasn't much use!) My rabbit has had this 3 times now. He seems fine one minute then suddenly his breathing becomes very rapid. He loses interest in everthing, food, water, and us. He starts rolling on his back and seems really uncomfortable. He sometimes seems to struggle to get up. Once he even rolled fully on his back and fully stretched his legs out. It was horrible to see because I know rabbits don't do this. He doesnt grind his teeth but looks in pain. He doesnt like having his tummy rubbed at all, even gently (I tried this because one webiste said it helped to release gasses). He had runny stool this morning directly before it happened so I am wondering if it is linked to diet. He was in the garden this morning eating a weed and I wonder if this caused it. However the last time it happened he hadn't been outside of a day becasue of storms. I don't think I would have recognised these symptoms when we first got him but becasue I know him really well now I can tell he's very poorly. It generally only lasts for about an hour or two, but I want to know what to do. He's aleways fine afterwards and breathing goes back to normal.
