Hi all

My 10 month Beagle girlie has just started bleeding today. Shes looking rather sorry for herself!!

Just after a bit of advice......

how long roughly is the whole season?
how long roughly will she bleed for?
how will I know for sure when she has finished?

I have googled it but to no real joy. I have read on here that people say do not take the bitch out on walks because of leaving a scent and other people saying just don't let them off the lead. My pup is hyper at the best of times so not taking her out is a no no. I will just take her round the block on the lead.

Sorry this turned out a bit long winded.
Thanks for reading

Hi Louwhu,
The season last's approximately 3 week's usually, some are longer
especially the first though! The bleeding is the same i'm afraid, some
bleed all the way through, some not at all, it can be confusing!
If you have to walk your girl, could you put her in the car & take
her somewhere safe with no other dogs?
I f not then really early & late walk's are in order & you
may well find yourself trailing home with a pack of unruly boys
following in hot pursuit! Whatever you do don't let her off the lead,
when the time is right your girl will be just as willing as the boys!
Good luck & hope that help's x
