Has to deliver to every house because of junk mail
Other half is a postie, He hates it. especially in this weather - ( he is still in shorts tho ) x
I personally told my postman to put junk mail in the bin outside but the poor bloke isn't allowed...I do feel it for him, especially on days like today when the weather is really bad and he's always so friendly too, come rain or shine he's cheerful, even remembers my name when i see him in the street and stops to say hello despite being barked at every morning by a full on German shep jumping the full height of the door. Which is why he gets a pressi at christmas
I bet he only had mail for half the houses too, I do feel sorry for them in this weather.
We have one of those posties around here too, always in shorts and walking boots
I've cancelled all my junk mail, can't remember exactly what or how (did a long time ago) but you can stop all junk mail leaving the sorting office. Our post comes in the afternoon but at least we get it minus the junk
i know a postie and he hates it when the catologues are sent out
I registered for not receiving junk mail but I continually get this via Royal Mail. I asked the postman why that was and he said that Royal Mail get a fee for this! You can't win can you?
Maybe if we all put 'return to sender' on the junk mail then Royal Mail would get the message loud and clear.
The worst one is the charities - I don't know about you guys but I am so so fed up of having charities drop plastic bags through my door - even when you request they stop. There is a limit to how much one can give.
I'm sure that's right but why couldn't the junk be delivered on a day just a little better weather than today?
Or save it all up and post it to us on November 5th. Would make a lovely Bonfire.:thumbup1:
Junk is 99% of the post anyway Keeps them in a Job I guess.
They do get paid for it though!
Should imagine so they have still got to put the hours in posting it.
im a postie
yep junk mail is a pain but im afraid now its our bread and butter.
most people use txt/e mail now ,its not gonna get better for us
Can I ask what is the Difference for you? You are still posting whether it's junk or letters Just interested
Postmen and ladies are hard workers - up early and reliable.
The junk mail maybe a pain to deliver but as mentioned it does bring in revenue which helps keep our posties employed. I guess most dont mind anyhow as they are not afraid of hard work!
I am sure they challange each other the first to wear long trousers buys the beers! Mine used to like doing the drops extra allowances ,at least it was in his day
