just before Christmas my Nan was told she had cancer and it was terminal in her spine and in the top bone in her leg:( she was in hospital for two weeks but seemed to be doing alright. Last week she had a fall and bruised all her face but didn't need to be hospitalized. Then last Friday had another fall, this time her bad leg gave out and she cut open her leg and needed to go in to hospital, she seemed fine apart from this until she got an infection on Sunday on her chest, then yesterday at 2.30pm she passed away peacefully in her sleep:(:(:(

I'm so glad she died before the cancer really took hold but so very sad that none of the family got to say good bye the nurses never phoned to say that she had gone down hill :(:( it was a big shock even though we new it was coming soon if you no what i mean.

Rip Nan will will all miss you:(:( It was my mums mum so she is in bits I'm completely numb and don't really no what to do, this is my third grandparent to pass in 14mths its so hard right now:(:( I hope you don't mind me going on but need to get it out. I feel i have let her down in some way.:(:(

Don't feel as if you've let her down, no one can tell in these circumstances that it is going to happen.
I lost my mother in January and that was sudden and unexpected. Yes, guilt does cross everyones mind in situations like this but don't let it take over from your fond memories. One of my sisters is still suffering due to guilt.
You have my heart felt sympathies. Look after your mum :)

So, so sorry for you and your family at your very sad loss. It's a hard time for you at the moment but always think of the good and happy times you have all had over the years.

Your nan may be gone but you will always have a special place in your heart for her and lots of wonderful memories. Thinking of you
