    Hello,

I put a post on a few days ago for advice on whether I was doing the right thing with getting a puppy, luckily you all agreed that I was :)

I now have the most lovely puppy in the whole world ever (to me anyway!).

Her name is Roxy and is a minature schnauzer. The breeder was just as good as she seemed on her advert and conversations, so very pleased.

Only one bit of advice needed, we are doing the lovely job of puppy training. We take her out everytime she has had food and water and sit with her outside for five, but she never wees. She has only weed and poohed once, which was last night when we went to bed. Is that normal?

She seems to really trust us as she is more than happy to have bellie rubs all day.

    Thank you X

    congrats on the pup.

now is the best time to train her, get it right now and it sinks in like a dream.

be consistent and often, wait longer than five tbh.

when she goes outside really fuss her like it is the best thing in the world to do.

you'll have to it at night too i'm afraid, but it wont be for forever, just until she is able to hold it in all night.

are you going to crate train her too?

She just started weeing so she went straight outside. Is that the right thing to do? She gets tons of fuss outside. Wasn't planning on crate training her. What are the benefits of that?

I'll wait more than five next time too.

    Thanks for the advice. X
