He is really cute, does he normally have a wheel in his tank? He might just have too much energy and needs to wear it off so a wheel would be great for that, my four russians have a wheel each and its hillarious to watch them all spinning at once.

He still runs in circles when you put him on the floor? Just like in the tank? I wondered and was going to ask because your hamster might have an inner ear problem then. He may not be able to move in a straight line and so can't properly get to where he's going like the water bottle or food dish. If he keeps it up he should see the vet, IMHO.

When he slows down he walks normally round the tank its just when he runs. He gets to his food and water fine. But may bob him down to the vets just to be on the safe side.
He`s Radge as insane. Thought the name suited him lol xx

Looks like stereotypical behaviour to me. His housing is far too small, and has a lack of environmental enrichment in it.

A wheel would be better than nothing. Physical and mental stimulation is vital to all animals, and is something that ALL owners should be providing.

    Definatly not natural, healthy behaviour.

As Nonnie just said, they tank is too small and he has nothing to keep him occupied.

Buy him a new bigger cage, with lots of toys and things to climb on. A solid wheel is also essential.

I got dizzy watching him, imagine what its like for him. Its definitely not normal behaviour for a hamster. Try to get him some more toys to attract his attention, i think a wheel would also be a good idea. Whether he uses it or not is up to him, but he should have the opportunity.

He doesn't have a wheel? He needs one definitely.
