Yes very common for allergy this time of year your vet may be able to help you and give you something to help. It can even be plants they affect my brothers dog.

Is the beach you go to a sand based one?

Could be irritation caused by the small particles.

Id pop her along to the vets just incase she has an infection.

You could try and give her an antihistamine. I give Mavis (the white one) Piriton right through summer as she is allergic to the grass, I just buy the ones from the chemist now as they are a hell of a lot cheaper than getting them off the vet.

Perhaps you should take her to the vets just to get it checked, but if it is a yearly thing it does sound as if it is an allergy

My Sid's eye became swollen last year and I was told it was hayfever by the vet. I posted on here and got some excellent advice. Try soothing the eyes with used teabags and giving her some local honey each day to help her with immunity.
