Some of you might remember that I have been asking quite a few questions about various breeds for my dad.

Well he has now decided that he'd quite like a crossbreed. He's also decided that a low-shedding dog isn't quite as important as he first decided

I've been looking online for him - it's so much fun!

I found these two little ones on a rescue site and I'm in love with them! The first one is Collie x GSD and the second one is Lab x Ridgeback.

Yes I thought of Tummel when I saw this girl.

I really love the first one but it's a little boy and I have a feeling he's after a girl which the second one is. But I'm not sure he's quite ready to get one right this instance (I don't think he's finished fencing his garden) so he might not be able to get either :(

Hell, they won't need to go out much for a few weeks, he can do the fencing while pup is in a playpen :D
I think you have to meet them in the flesh to choose :)

He's in NZ! Would be long days to fly back every day to help :D

A fenced garden is a requirement of rehoming.

I've emailed him about them anyway - what he does from here is up to him :)

I have a lab X ridgeback :D:D:D Tummel is amazing but very hard work, he can be extremely stubborn and needs so much exercise it's unrea(Tummel gets at least 1.5 hours offlead a day, then he also needs plenty of play and training to be able to sleep through the night)l!!! Plus he's shedding beyond belief at the moment...it's never ending :p

Right thats the bad points...good points coming up

-he's incredibly loyal(not as much as a full ridgeback but the calling their bluff works wonders every time)
-he's very cosy and loves his cuddles(when he wants them...not often he doesn't though)
    - very rewarding when you see your training work.
-he makes me laugh with his stupid sleep noises.
-he's amazing in every way...even on a bad day

    Oh yeah...he's stupidly smart!!!!

Heres a couple of pics for you to see, a then and now(or fairly recent anyway), i've had him since he was 11 weeks and now he's 10.5 months!

I have no idea what he weighs now but at his last weigh in he was 7 stone  thats was about a month ago, he's a big lump of love and is a joy to own, he was so easy to teach commands to(being stubborn i don't say trained...taught) and loves all people, dogs , cats, cows, sheep, horses etc, he took to everything in his own time and i can't imagine my life without him :D

If your dad gets one make sure he reads my post....it should at least help him prepare for some stuff...the only problem i had with Tummel was recall training but he's sitting at about 85-90% good recall now.

That pup is lovely :) making me even more broody seeing as it's the same cross as Tum

lol i made my post then had a read through to see if anyone mentioned me...i didn't notice who'd made the thread  sorry but i'm so chuffed somebody thought of me and my bum(Tummels new nickname)
