I'm afraid I don't know much about cats but I'd go see a vet. :)

i would go see a vet, and double check for fleas. is the skin angry? my cat had her boosters a month ago and she had a reaction to the booster and she ripped her hair out from his neck. has he had anything put on that area recently?

My first thought is have you used a spot on treatments? Some can cause bald patches to appear, if not, then I would have a check up and the vets.

it could be down to stress, alergy or over cleaning. keep a close eye on him. if any thing changes take him to the vets to see if its a skin condition. we had the same problem with our cat phebe when we took her to the vets they told us she had a OCD. so it might be worth getting your little one checked out.
