Essex Rawtopaw are going to stock MVM foods. On first glance this seems good, until you look at the price list. From what I can see the minces are going to cost 10p more, and everything else has a premium on top. Rabbits are an extortionate 50p more each!

I reckon it will increase the cost to me by 15% - 20%.

Does anyone know if MVM will still deliver direct?

    also been looking at this
the delivery cost is halved, but obv that will be cancelled out by the time you order 10 minces.

I asked on delivery group wall but they also seem to direct in the direction of the Paula lady. which is understandable, I can see why they would rather deliver to one supplier there than come all the way out to Kent again

re yours Bessiedog, as far as I can tell from the calendar the Essex run is very much a stable part of the calendar so I would imagine that you will still be fine to order direct.

Normally you'd have a wholesale price (what you sell it for to the shop) and a retail price (what it costs the customer), so shouldn't really be much difference between the company selling directly or buying it somewhere else.

Ive found that too. I asked about a route to Manchester and was told to use the local supplier for my area cleardayrawfeeds but their range is not as good, only a limited selection. The delivery price is half the price of MVM but items are more expensive.

I hope MVM put a route together for my area, Id rather have a wider selection.

They will still come down here I asked ;)

They also said they've not asked for suppliers it's happening but not because of them driving it.
