I picked up a really big yankee candle for my mom (£20), she loves them and some of the scents are really nice. I also picked up some champagne truffles from Thorntons (£16) and a card. Maybe a bit cliche but if she likes them, why not? :D

I have now designed her a card, bought her favorite flowers in a bouquet, a box of fudge, got her a voucher for her hair (she goes most weeks), getting a recent photo or 2 framed for her of her family, she also gets taken out by us for a lunch or dinner but this year will be later as she has just had an operation so can't get out. :(

Oh and this is for my (nearly) 86yr old Gran who has been a second Mum to me since my Mum died when i was 4.

    So don't forget your Grans/Nans people :)
