In the last year Philip had tests, was diagnosed with asthma, had inhalers and steroids, got worse, changed vets as my old ones were rubbish, stopped steroids, had antibiotics and suddenly got better, then a month ago the coughing was back. This time we got a specialist in to put a camera down his throat and do another bronchial lavage. All was clear and healthy, but the sample shows he has allergic bronchitis. It's good that it's not cancer, bacterial or asthma, but the only way of managing it is steroids and we're going to have to try the dreaded inhalers again. I hope they work better than last time, or we're a bit stuck. I suspect it's seasonal/pollen related, so I'm hoping he can have med free winters to give him a break. Poor lad.
