If anyone else gets the error message or any popup from now, please post in this thread as much detail as possible about what it says or where its redirected too. Also please let me know what browser you are using and what version of the browser.

    Thanks

From in your browser press the 'alt' key on your keyboard. The top menu in your browser should appear. Go to the end option, entitled 'Help'. Then select the 'About' option from the drop down list.

It should say 'Internet Explorer', 'Firefox' or 'Google Chrome' etc... then have a version number below also.

    Thanks

I would like someones help who can make the message appear on their computers easily. Ive tried on mine and cannot duplicate the problem.

If this does happen on certain peoples computers when they visit pages on the forum, please let me know what google banner advert is displaying at the time of the problem at the top of the forum.

    Thanks
    Mark

If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say it might be the 'You have one new message. Click Here!!' one. But will keep an eye out and post back if when it happens again.

Please do let us know if you find out which one, I will then be able to block it, to prevent the problem happening for others.

Although I am looking in to this, and I really think it must be one of the google adverts that is triggering this. If anyone can find out exactly which google advert is triggering this redirect and provide me evidence, I will pay them £50.

    Thanks for your help

If we can just get the URL of the offending popups, it may be possible to google for information as I'm sure there will be others posting about the issue
    elsewhere.

One thing though: As a laptop user, I don't get to see a whole page at a time, I have to scroll down. So unless I'm viewing the top half of the forum page when the popup appears, I'm unable to see the headline banner & wouldn't know what ad was running at the time the nuisance popup appears.
