Hi just wondering what the risks are of giving the mismate jab?
How reliable is it? and is it just the 1 jab?

It's 3 seperate jabs. Can increase the chances of your bitch developing pyometra in the months afterwards. My wee girl had the jabs in January....so ever watchful. She can't be spayed until a full 3 months have passed to make sure there are no problems.

There is also a risk that it brings them back into season, so you have to keep any males separate.
Pyometra has been reported on a few occasions,
The injection not working in killing the puppies, but deforming them.

HOWEVER, the risks of whelping far outweigh the risks of a mismate.
