and I must say they are both absolutely gorgeous. They had come complete with 2 boxes full of coats, collars and leads, bowls, toys a bit of food. In fact everything they need 2 beds and a big crate.

At the moment they are in the crate and the 2 italians are in the room. They will go to bed soon and Minni and Cooper can come out. They are crated at the moment as they have not been very well socialised with other dogs and we were too late getting back to take them all out together.

I will do the obligitry photos tomorrow when they have settled a bit.

I'm glad they're there safe and sound.
Hopefully they'll settle in and get on with your lot.
How long do you think they'll be staying?

It depends on them really if they settle in woth the pack then they may just stay permanantly. If they don't get on with the pack then if I can find them a home together they will go. Cooper has just snapped at Willow but he is being a bit pushy with them.

I do know Cooper used to have issues with other dogs it will all depend on whether he has now settled or not.

yes that does include them 2. The fact that quite a few of them are now old dogs does help as they are happy to just potter round the garden. Jasper is 11, Bandit 9 Owen and Tegan are nearly 9 and Freyja is nearly 7. Jasper and Bandit are content with a potter round the garden Owen wants to go for walks but can no longer manage to go far although since we came back from our weekend away he does seem a lot better than he was.

I think I have my work cut out with these 2. We went for a walk this morning first they both had a go at a lab then 2 collies who did start at them first. They then stood quietly whilst I talked to a man with a goldie then had a go at 2 shitzu then stodd queitly whilst I talked to the man.

I think they really don't know any different they don't seem to know that what they are doing is wrong. They are at the moment lying queitly in their crate whilst the iggies are loose in the room but will grumble if the iggies sniff at their crate.

I think I may have to get a couple of muzzles before they are introduced to my lot out of crates as I'm not prepared for my lot to be involved in a fight with them.

I am glad I got them back as I would hate to think what would have happened if these dogs had ended up in the wrong hands.

    Sounds like a hectic day.
Keep us updated on their progress, muzzles sound like a good idea at least at first.

Tonights walk was a lot better. I have found a couple of halti's that I have had for years and hardly used. The rings were a bit rusty but solid and cleaned up easily.

I have also invested in a little water pistol. Cooper thinks it is a game catching the water but Minnie responds to it quite well. OH came with me on our walk and had Cooper he found that after a couple of good firm no's Cooper started to behave. I had Minnie and after she had a couple of squirts with the water pistol she stopped lunging at other dogs and walked nicely on her halti.

I now think as long as I have the help off OH we could turn these dogs round and get them socialised with other dogs. They have still not been allowed loose in the house with my dogs as I want to get hold off a couple of muzzles first as I am not prepared to risk my dogs getting bitten by these 2.
