Hopefully its nothing to worry about especially if its appeared and come up suddenly, Kobi had one a few weeks ago after yelping in the garden and his was virtually in the same place but a little more further down on his neck and that turned out to be a sting or insect bite.

If its hotter on the "lump" then the surrounding area could even be an abcess from something like a grass seed or a bite thats gotten in there and caused infection even.

Thank you...they drained some fluid off and it had blood within the fluid so they have sent it off for analysis

Sounds like it could even be an abcess forming or a cyst, Kobi had one of those too a swelling formed after he had an antibiotic injection after his OP.
Hopefully its nothing too much to worry about. They drained his off too.

She has still got a fair lump as they want to decide what it is before completly draining/removing it so fingers crossed they come back to me soon with the results...thanks for your support

Kobi had a right egg type lump on his neck when he got stung and when he had the reaction to the AB injection that was filled with bloody type pus they drew off it was huge about the size of my hand. Try not to worry hopefully its just the same sort of thing as one of his was.

Lumps and bumps are always scary - my dogs have had a fair few between them! They can form for many reasons. Fingers crossed for you and Millie xx
