Hello all, After years of planning, I finally brought home my new cats, April and June from Celia Hammond, around 1.5 weeks ago on 21st September. They are 6 months old, and are sisters. April is the tabby and June is the black. Despite only having been with us for around 10 days, their personalities are coming through. April is the strong and confident one, always on the lookout, always need to be in control of what's going on, and if she's in the hunt, she's focused and nobody can distract her. June is more sweet natured, will always come to me to say hello in the morning or when I get home from work, is more laid back and is more likely to be snuggling up to us. They have been fed on Felix pouches and dry food from the rescue. I ordered from zooplus a cosma trial pack (they loved the tuna and salmon, possibly because that's the fish variety in the felix kitten pouches), Schesir Tuna & ham and Tuna & beef (April loved), Animonda Carny (both sniffed and wasn't interested). I originally had some dry food down thinking that they're used to it so I'll keep the dry going. But, we noticed that June's poo has not been as compact and solid as April's. I made a decision to stop the dry completely, and I've tried them with chopped up chicken breast. June dove right in, April had a sniff and looked at me as if "What's this? I'm not having it! Give me my pouches!" I didn't want to put down the pouches at all because I know June will want in, so I've now resorted to putting the raw food down first, let June get occupied, then mix in the raw food with the pouches for April. She still picks them out, but I hope she'll come around! I now have some Almo Nature on order, and got some Natural Instinct yesterday. Again June seems to like it, so hopefully I could get them out of eating the low quality food. This forum has been so helpful with me being a new cat slave, thank you! I have some pictures that I can upload from home later.
