    Hi,

I'm just after some advice, this is my first time breeding my cocker spaniel, she has just turned 4. She mated with another cocker 3 weeks ago and we have noticed some changes in behaviour relating to pregnancy etc. However, she is still spotting slightly, the blood is darker, so seems old, but I'm just wondering if its anything to be worried about? She is booked in at the vets next week, but I'm just thinking should I take her sooner due to the spotting?

I wouldn't be too concerned about a little spotting at this stage.

So long as she's otherwise well in herself, I would have her checked over at your appointment this week.
