am i just being dense here?

but WHO fined him? the EA? it doesn't actually say does it? even tho they say he's not committed an offence they've fined him? the local council have fined him?? what??

i only read it quickly cos i'm at work, but even for the daily fail, surely this is the worst written piece of 'journalism' yet.

It starts to make you wonder if DM are running out of ideas, forcing them to concoct up new stories...

Nobody has 'fined' him yet, they intend to keel-haul him through the courts at the taxpayers expense. Apparently he is to be interviewed 'under caution' for this so-called 'offence' by the Environment Agency. Haven't they got anything else better to do?

lol i'm still confused, what the man 'says' (according to DM) is completely different to what EA says and the LAW!

what an odd article! dm is probably trying to keep people reading their papers cos everyones sick of hearing about the election aftermath.

make blood boil and people will buy the paper to find out more.. lol

    that seems really bizarre -
i tried to convince an apt-complex to STOP planting goldfish in their drainage pond, as there is a creek nearby that, if it floods, the fish will be just more carp in a freshwater-system that has alien-species coming out its ears (if it had ears  )
no luck - i would prefer that folks keep fish responsibly, and NOT run the risk of releasing aliens - which goldfish are.

a venomous lionfish of the scorpion-fish family was introduced off Florida by Hurricane Andrew - PEOPLE * WHO * HAD * OUTDOOR * TANKS of salt-water fish along the coast,
and the ocean literally lifted the fish out + took them along. :nonod:

now some eejit(s) has transplanted them from Fla to off-Virginia -
Invasive Lionfish Attacks Reefs and Fish as Scientists Scramble - ScienceInsider
all at popular wreck-diving sites WHICH * ARE major habitat for native fish-species and their food -
so now the lionfish are breeding madly, eating everything. :nonod: no one can possibly predict the outcome -
but IMO this was a major + deliberate screw-up by some pig-ignorant twit(s),
most likely hobby-divers or tour-dive operators... adding another photo-op to the wrecks. :mad5:
