    My view,
They are now, overpriced, boring and not of the quality they were
    Apart from underwear maybe

Apart from socks and knickers, I bought my very first item of M&S clothing just 2 weeks ago. I think the range is better but don't know about quality as this is a first

    Im a BHS woman , I'm gutted they're closed.

I dont like the M&S styles and they are too expensive though I have bought underwear from there.
They used to be good quality , we used to buy sheet and things there. i remember my mum bought me a cotton kimono dressing gown , early 80s and i still have it .

M&S used to be very strict on seam allowance, stitching, hemming etc.
Sizing, you were near on guaranteed that if you purchased your size it would fit.
I personally find our branch to be really dull now. but, that said I went into Peterborough M&S the other week and that was a different kettle of fish

It depends which range of theirs you buy from. Some of the stuff is really old fashioned.

And this hideous thing is unspeakable.

See next post, don't know why that didn't work.....

I've given up with M&S stuff now. It's so old fashioned, even for me, the jeans are tat, even the £11.00 ones are dreadful, even for work, as for tee-shirts, colours are lovely but they bag and sag after washing. I used to buy almost everything from them years ago, now I shop around, I get better quality stuff for same or less money. Not too worried about fashion these days but I do want things to last a season at least.

M&S are closing some of their stores in Finland due to the lack of popularity, which means we will have to travel further afield to look for quality English tea.

I've never, ever bought any clothes from them cos I always thought M&S stood for manky&sh1te.:Wacky

What was the range that they did which was alternative? I did try it but everything was so itchy. I haven't been for years, a friend only buys M&S and seems to find stylish stuff but it's not my sort of thing at all. I don't really use them for undies now, I prefer Bravasimmo, they last longer. I think Next have the edge because it's just easier to order and a better courier service.

Agreed, really disappointed with them now. Used to always get cotton t shirts and jumpers from M and S, not now though.

I couldn't bring myself to like this post
    That is something else, truly!

Nearly all my clothes are M&S. All of my jeans are, they last me ages and I wear them for horse riding sometimes too. I have quite a few per una pieces and they did some nice teal knits and tops. I bought a long knit wrap in teal not that long ago. The only clothes I have that aren't M&S are named t-shirts and sweatshirts and horseriding gear. My footwear is Skechers. So I'm a sad person who shops M&S. :D

It would have to be a very small tea shop then, DT, because there would only be you and @cheekyscrip doing the shipping.:Hilarious
In which case, maybe start off small. A char van perhaps?:Writing Something like a 1992 Fiat Fiorino Panorama. For a couple of hundred euros, I Could probably pick one up with 6 months MOT and a window notice that read, 'NO TOOLS LEFT IN THIS VEHICLE OVERNIGHT'.:)

Who knows, in time, it could become the most popular watering hole in Finland.

It'll have 4 Michelin tyres to begin with.:Smug

There will be a 'millennial' out there who will apply the word 'vintage' to that and wear it happily!

Honestly if it wasn't for the M&S food hall and my microwave I would've got scurvy, my kitchen is only just finished after 7 weeks. But I never, ever want to eat another 'balanced for you' meal this year :D
