Couldn't resist posting this: Ollie discovers how to get on the rockng chair, even though it moves, discovers it's shrunk a bit when compared to him, and works out a novel solution to getting comfortable on it!:D

Whenever I see photos of lurchers doing things like that it just cements my determination to have one even further. I love them!! Just need to search and find one that is ok with cats.

Where are you based? the rescue I got my two dingbats from has some possible cat-friendly lurchers/ greyhounds in at the moment, but it's in Kent- the rescue will consider people outside of Kent though. I can PM you the website

Ahh gotta love the lurcher roach! If my poota stops messing around i will load pics of mine roaching.

I came home once to find Phoenix (10 weeks old) wrapped up in loo roll. He had taken the end off the roll in the toilet and ran around the house with it. He looked so cute underneath it I couldnt tell him off

Gold star for having emergency supplies of calming devices in. I feel the need to join you just in case I am greeted by the same scene one day....now where's the Lindt! :D

I wonder if their reputation is always deserved - Ollie was found by the dog warden with no known history - there are lots of cats around here and when he see's one he runs to me for a biscuit, and is not at all interested in chasing them, so don't be put off having one because you have a cat - I'm sure there will be plenty that will settle in quite happily with a feline friend.....:)

Sorry really silly question here but you know when they list rescues as cat friendly or not, do they know the difference between cats and tiny dogs?
So would a uncat friendly one also not like small cat sized dogs? Or do dogs always KNOW dogs ?

    Apologies for the stupid question.

Not a daft question at all, with my first lurcher he just chased anything small and moving, but I had 2 cats that bossed him around and he never bothered them.
But wouldn't like to say, I know mine are ok with cats they know but will chase any off the garden.
Jude I had from a rescue centre and they just walked in with a cat and she ignored it.
Would think with lurchers and greys its more to do with their chase instinct.
Good question Batman, will have me thinking all night
