    Hi,

I have a 6 ft by 4ft aviary that I'm looking to getting some lovebirds for. (my chipmunk and rabbit also live their although rabbit spends lots of time in garden).
I'm a little confused about obtaining a pair of lovebirds.
My local pet shop will sell me two, but as far they know they might be related and are unsure of the sex. If they do happern to be male and female does it matter if they breed and are related???

    Many thanks,
    First time bird keeper.
    Teresa

Do you want to breed them? If yes...you don't want them related.Don't forget they will need bringing indoors in winter unless you provide heated winter quarters. They can be hardy but still need protection if we have another yuk winter.
Better if you find a breeder...better birds and cheaper. Some pet shop birds may be old birds.I suggest you put a free ad on here if there is nothing being advertised at the moment...

Just click on birds for sale...

You are going to put lovebirds in the same aviary as the chipmunks?
