Lossie is a 6 year old gentleman greyhound. He has a lovely fawn brindle coat with some distinguished silvering on his muzzle.

Lossie is a lovely character and is a favourite at the kennels. He is very friendly, amiable and just so easy to be around. His relaxed, easy going manner seems to rub off on whoever walks him, and Lossie loves his walks! He is very well behaved on the lead and has gotten on brilliantly with all the other greyhounds in the kennels. Lossie is also a rarity among greyhounds in that he loves to play ball!

We feel Lossie would be a perfect 'beginner's greyhound' for someone considering taking on their first sighthound. He is quiet, calm, friendly and mannerly with very few hang ups. He has not been fully tested with small dog breeds or cats yet, but these can be carried out prior to adoption if requested.

Lossie has not been in a home before, having spent his 6 years in kennels. His new adopters will need to be a bit patient and understanding during the first couple of weeks, and give him time to realise what the house rules are. Though he is not technically housetrained, he is clean in his kennel so we feel it shouldnt take him long before he's mastered that concept. Lovely Lossie really deserves to experience the comforts of a loving home and enjoy his retirement to the fullest.

Lossie is currently in kennels in Ireland, and can be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK or Europe if a suitable home offer comes up. This will be organised and paid for by Kerry Greyhounds, and we ask only for a donation to help cover costs. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, de-flea'd and wormed and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

If you are interested in fostering or adopting this gorgeous boy, please email me on tamakin_84@yahoo.co.uk for our information pack and adoption questionnaire. Thanks!

Kerry Greyhound Connection is a small voluntary organisation based in County Kerry, Ireland and Norfolk, England and operates through a network of volunteers. We can look after approximately 50 greyhounds at any one time, in both Ireland and the UK.

Each dog is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and given a full veterinary check before being adopted.
We assess the suitability of all home offers, and we have homed greyhounds in Ireland, the UK, Europe and the USA. We work hard to match the right hound to the right home, and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

We can be contacted via PM or through any of the following:
