Hey I am studying Animal Management at college and looking to foster a young feral cat for my specialist project. It is a year long project but I am obviously willing to work with the cat as long as it takes even after this to rehabilitate them and intergrate them to family life with me, my mum, my 3 cats and my elderly dog. I have a large pen with shelter available for my foster-baby until they are socialised enough to come into the house so that is not an issue and someone is at home all the time as mum works from home and I am only at college short hours, 4 days a week. Run(fruitcage): The goal is to take a youngish feral and work on behaviour and socialisation to get them to the point they can be adopted into a family environment (or persuade mum to let them stay ) I am after - ideally - a young male of 2 months - 2 years as obviously the younger the easier it will be to reintergrate them into a family. I need a male as I doubt Gypsy and Mabel will accept another female into the group but both seem fine with boys and poor Indy is outnumbered and eventually foster kitty will be in the family learning how to be a pet. I am happy to deal with getting jabs/neutering done so long as costs can be helped out with, I can contribute towards them though but documenting the *entire* process inc medicals would be good. Not fussed on colour/condition/temperment particularly and disabilities are not an issue if a peg-leg cat needs help Feel free to quiz me for more info if needed Oh project will be overseen by a vet nurse and a behaviourist amongst others so not just lil ol' trainee me! Am based in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire btw and I don't drive so kitty needs to be at least semi local/on a train route. I have my local RSPCA on the lookout for me too.
