    I made my niece this birthday cake today. How ace am i :p

    I took this pic before it dried, so it's still covered in icing sugar. Excuse the mess btw :eek:

    Looks cracking :D Did you use MMF, it looks like it. I keep meaning to try that.

    MMF??? :confused::

    I used fondant icing sugar. I made three packs up and coloured it myself. Much cheaper than buying ready rolled ;)

    It's called Marshmallow Fondant. It's basically marshmallows microwaved, coloured and poured/moulded around your cake.

    You say your cake is wet, which is what made it look like MMF when I first looked. I must have missed that bit :eek:

    Do you make cakes often? We love making cakes :D

    This is the first one i have made, other than boring round cakes with runny icing on

    Those liquorice wheels with the jelly bits in the middle sooooo have my name on them :D

    What a a beautiful cake. I bet your niece was thrilled. It's clear a lot of love and labor went into it.
