Long walks & Young dogs

    Next summer onwards we want to take our flatcoat fell-walking in the Lakes or similar. In the past when we've done this a typical walk might be 4-5hrs. Given that by then he'll be 18months old, do people think his joints will be OK to do this? He's 8.5months now and TBH sometimes after an hour of play with other dogs, or a brisk walk through woods/fields etc he's had enough, so he's going to have to change quite alot I think for him to undertake more involved adventures.

    I would say 4-5 hours would be fine for a dog of that age...
