Litter training success

    Im a happy bunny :) Came downstairs this morning to find they had not had one accident outside of the tray!!!

    And they are now happily scoffing some pate iv given them as a reward :D :D :D

    So proud of my fuzzies, thank yo so very much for the fleece idea dkdream as im sure thats what has made the difference :D

    How did you do it?

    Ours were till we got pudding who just poops where ever she likes so now they all do! the run and playhouse is COVERED some days where all they have seemed to do all night is poo lol!

    get a large cat litter tray and put a brick in it, (so they cant tip the tray) put some shavings in it, when they poo anywhere but it, pick the poo up and put it in the tray, ferrets usually choose the furthest corner away from the bed to poo and use only one corner. Hope this helps.

    Thank i did think it would be as simple as that, but wasnt sure.

    they do it EVERYWHERE at the moment dirty little monkeys! fingers crossed it wont take them long to grasp the idea. Still need to get some good pics of te new guys aswell!

    Good luck :) mine were doing really well, then i decided to bring the old girls in because they have very little winter fat....and its back to the beginning lol.

    can you not block the cage off? untill the old girls learn?

    they are learning very quickly lol....learning how to destroy everything :rolleyes:

    Im doing a mass cage clean up tom so will prob separate top cage and bottom cage until they have got the hang of it

    they are having fun lol....oohh look a ladder, lets pull that down and scramble up the next level.

    oh litter i can dig in this......

    bullclips making litter trays ferret proof.....not a chance matey...DESTROOOOOOOOOOY.
