Hi a few weeks ago we took our 7 month old staff Ty out for his walk and noticed him limping, we checked him over and couldnt find anything wrong and he didnt seem in pain hes been walking fine ever since apart from tonight. Whilst walking him tonight he seems to be limping again and his left back leg was giving way so had to bring him home. All hes done since we got in is lay down but he seems to have difficulty gettin back up, gonna have to get him to vets tomorrow and get him checked over........anyone have any ides what could be up with him ?

Sounds like it might be his hips giving him some bother- a trip to the vets is certainly the best idea :) Good luck, I hope it's nothing serious.

We could guess all sorts of things, there's quite a few options :(
You won't know for sure until you see the vet.
Wishing you good luck with that, and please let us know how you get on

I agree with rona, it could be something and nothing, but best for the vet to check it out to rule out anything serious. ;)

Had a very similar problem with my last Staff around that age. Got him checked and couldn't find anything so the vet said it could just be his muscles developing and he'd grow out of it - which he did. Went on to be a very well built, muscley boy but it wasn't his back leg it was the front two, and it used to happen on random occasions.

I'd get him checked over but hopefully he'll grow out of it too, once his muscles have built up. :)

Cruciate or knee probs - just a guess - good luck at the vets, hope all is fine
