For a long time now I've been after a raincoat for Kenzie that is not 'warm' - i.e. not lined with fleece or anything like that. I know Hurtta and Ruffwear do something suitable, but I'm not prepared to pay their prices for something she'll only wear occasionally. Any suggestions? Catch is they need to post to me.

Have you tried using YouShop to ship from companies that don't do internationally? May broaden your search a bit?

(Disclaimer; haven't tried myself, don't know what the shipping costs would be but for a small and light item like a coat shouldn't be terrible I would assume...I do know people who have shipped from the US using this method...)

Thanks, haven't actually heard of it :) I do tend to find that lots of places ship internationally these days which is good :)

I've just bought a hurrta torrent from the clearance bit on activehound. Was £25 not sure what size you would need but there was a few left in stock!

Wouldn't recommend the ruffwear had mine less than a year, worn less than 10 times and is no longer waterproof!

Thanks - went on the website to have a look. Very tempted to get them both one! They don't ship to me but I could send to a friend and have them send it on. When you measured up did you add the extra space to the chest measurement?

I actually e-mailed them his measurements. Fab customer service and advice was spot on, wanted a more expensive coat and said wouldn't be right fit etc. Impressed! We did go for the slightly larger chest size if that helps.

Its a really good coat and quality is fab.

Can you order from Pets At home ? Not sure whethe they're intenational but their 3 peaks range would be ideal.

Another vote for the Hurtta torrent I have one for Loki as he doesn't need anything padded and it's only used in the wettest weather but it's great it stays in place and is nice and adjustable It also keeps most of his chest mud free which is great.

We just got a cheapy from ebay (might have been 2nd hand) and got a lady to add a harness hole (button hole) for 2 quid, its just thin but keeps the water off in a downpour. We had a Hurtta but he hated the leg straps and the bum catch was a big no no LOL, sold it on ebay and lost a fortune......Steve
