Hi, we have just had a 9 week old kiten shes been here for a few weeks and always used the litter its cleaned regular, she keeps peeing and pooping on our bed and chair so we have to keep cleanig it, we leave the door open all night so she is able to get to her litter we don't know why she keeps doing this. Also tried leaving her in room with litter over night but still does this it's like she's being lazy.

Are you using the same litter as the breeder/rescue? Its good to use the same litter when you first bring them home.

Is she okay in herself? Is she well? Cats will toilet in areas outside of their litter when unwell.

She's not lazy, it's something kittens do when they are stressed. She has been seperated from her Mum and needs lots of tlc and patience and understanding. Make sure you are using the same litter she's used to, keep a tray close at all times [ she is still young enough to get caught short] , when you clean it out, leave a little wet bit in the new litter so she knows it's hers to use. DO NOT chastise her, she will become more stressed and do it even more.

She is ALWAYS meowing but eats and drinks everyday, has plenty of energy to play and run around like a looney so i don't think she's ill. Her litter was changed for another brand because the one we normally get wasn't available but she still used it which is why i didnt understand why she messed on furniture, we bought some repellant spray for sofa and bed and hasnt messed recently but were constantly watching just in case. Thank's for the quick response.
