Correct, but not quite, a solar year is 364.25 days which is why we have a leap year.

I'm not sure about this. but could it be you didn't have to go home. You were already there.

The answer is you light a flame first. Without a flame you can't light any of the others. Even though you dont have a box of matches or a lighter there a number of ways to make a flame.
