So after months of feeding my cats Animonda Carney, I've decided to see what other options there are. Attached is a table of information about various foods (internet based only) which I have worked out.

    • The main drive for this is purely to see how much each food costs and therefore making future choices clearer.

    • I've based the cost on the mega packs or bulk buy prices, thus being as transparent as possible.

    • Only the more popular brands are included here.

    • I know some stores have how much food is by kilogram, but by having it all on one page you can see what you're getting.

    • Some rounding up/down has occurred. This is referenced in the notes.

    • Prices are correct as of 31st of January 2012.

    • Really, this is for my personal info only, but shared here for others to refer to and I'll try and do an update every few months.

    Nice one :D:D

a couple of pointers - you have the two Grau prices per kilo reversed.
    Mac's - per kilo is - £2.30, Petnatur - £4.44, Tiger - £3.20

This is brilliant! Very handy when convincing OH that we're not spending too much on "fancy food" - kitties were on Whiskas pouches when we got them.

Thank you so much for this..... I have saved it to convince OH to buy online brands :) I have been looking for the past month trying to decide which food would be best... this is a great help
