We have a girl in labour, 4 babies so far. 1-3 are fine, active and starting to feed, number 4 had a bowel movement during delivery and still inside mum. Baby delivered and now has quite rapid, shallow breathing. Airways have been "sucked" with the aspirator and "swung". Has anyone had any experience of this? I'm hoping that it's just a case of baby being a little distressed and will settle down now he's with mum. Keep everything crossed that he pulls through. I've experienced human babies aspirating mecconium (never good news) but never with a kitten. Any other suggestions??
