Introducing Atticus who arrived with me on Saturday, isn’t he pretty? 😊 He’s a 15 week old red and white mackerel Maine Coon and being a year almost to the day since I lost my Rosso, it’s exciting and a bit daunting having a kitten in the house again but he’s absolutely lovely
I didn’t intend being without a cat for so long (not counting the 100s of cats I’ve visited since in my capacity of cat sitter) but wanted to wait for the right one to come along, he’s from traditional US/UK lines which was what I was looking for as it seems the breed has been mostly overtaken by the Russian types which people seem to prefer now but I prefer the sweeter look…. but boy does he have a gob on him as I discovered at 5am this morning when he decided it was time for me to wake up!!!!
He’s still a little shy but eating and using the litter tray, playing like a mad thing and chasing boinks around like there is no tomorrow, it’s been less that 24 hours since he arrived so I’m happy with his progress, the photos are from a couple of weeks ago cos I haven’t had time to do a proper photoshoot yet but hopefully I will be around much more now and will be sharing his progress
