Did anyone watch this or her documentary in 2009? I knew Katie prior to the attack and indeed know alot of people who know her, due to what I do jobwise as "my job along side my normal job"

If anyone wishes to get more info on her charity, please check out The Katie Piper Foundation

She also has a book out which can be obtained for various outlets for an average of £6.

She really is an inspiration to many people.

If you are not familiar with Katie's story, then here is one story out of many http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/a...s-face-disfigured-boyfriend-Daniel-Lynch.html

Otherwise watch Channel 4 every Tuesday at 9pm :)

I watched it, it was so touching but showed what an amazing person she is.

Am looking forward to the series that's starting next week.

Damn, only saw the advert tonight. We never get a TV guide so I never know what's on. Will try & watch in on 4 on demand - was it good?

i'd happily kneecap both of those men involved and pour acid on their privates..both are a waste of oxygen

Completely agree, I think she has really bought facial disfigurement & our reactions to it to the public eye which can only be a good thing.

I think the initial programme showed she had such courage & determination despite the horrific ordeal she had gone through. I found it really difficult to watch at times as I felt so angry that such a lovely person had had to go through such trauma & so sad that her & her lovely family had been through such pain. It was so sad watching her embarrassed at the way she looked that you really realised just how superficial & looks obsessed the world we live in can be at times. I really hope that her story has started to change this though

Very true, back in the 2009 doc it was hard watching how she felt about shopping with her sister and having to do the walk to the shop on her own.

Yes I watched it and it was very moving.

it was upsetting when she found out on the prog that her attacker was appealing for the 3rd time

I also found the girl featured in it was amazing too.

Very brave and so determined to just get on with life.

I am so full of admiration for them and daresay the others who will be appearing on the prog each week will be just as amazing. :001_smile:

    Another great episode :D

Though I really couldn't warm to Emily. Found her to be a bit too negative and cold.

Don't get me wrong she has been through hell and back, but out of all those featured and some I have seen clips of, I just couldn't warm to her.:(

I did feel sorry that she found it hard to get a job but wonder if her negative aura didn't help?

Still a great programme though and they are so wonderful to come on and bare all.

I watched her orginal one she done about her attack and have been watching this to.. I think she is amazing, and still as gorgeous as she was before - insde and out - Cockerpoo lover I felt just the same about her (If I have the right one in mind) - she was far to negative, and like she knew best. I know she has been through alot but she is alive and thats what counts, looks are not everything - although are for some and as she has lost her looks she needs to make the most of a good personality. She wont ever get a job while so negative.

Yes the irish lady- think you are on about the same one as me.

She took great umbrage at the comment made by katherine Jenkins saying being beautiful has been a problem.

But I don't see why Katherine can't say how she feels. She wasn't intentionally belittling a person with facial disfigurements but voicing how she feels about her looks.

Being beautiful can be a problem especially when you want to be taken seriously.

Honestly it happens to me all the time:lol::lol::lol:
