    Advice needed please Do indoor rabbits need to have jags ?

    Do you mean jabs? If you do, yes indoor bunny need to be vaccinated

    Hi Funky, yes I mean jabs lol I have got into the habit of calling injections jags.

    As funky said, yes indoor rabbits do indeed need to be vaccinated.
    All 7 of my house rabbits are vaccinated because you can (or anyone else) bring in VHD on your clothes, shoes or hands and with myxo it is transferred by biting insects so you can't be certain that one won't slip into the house.

    Some people insist that house rabbits are much safer, but IMO it is better to be safe then sorry :)

    Thanks for your reply, never thought about bringing something into the house.

    Thank you Emzybabe I had read that post, which made me ask the question but did not look at the photos, it sounded pretty horrendous and must have been heartbreaking to lose a pet like that. I have decided to get in touch with vet about jags. Thanks again for all the replies.
