they arent mongrels they are a first cross,a mongrel is a dog of undetermined parentage, usually a mixture of a few different breeds
im in stockport, cheshire, they will be £300o.n.o,i paid £250 for mum and £600 for dad,i didnt quibble at the prices asked as i know how much goes into rearing pups, vet visits etc
will post more pics soon, they will be just like min pins, this has been done before,i cant take credit for the name as thats what they call them, its a cute name though, bit of fun, they have started eating solids now and are into everything, lol
i would love to keep them,1 in particular is showing signs of being very intelligent,a female, what more can i say,lol
they wont be ready to go until the first week of august

In my eyes any dog thats is crossed with another breed makes the pups mongrels! No matter if theres 2 different breeds or 10
Like i said i hope you find them a loving home!

awwhhh...they are very cute puppies :D i hope they will find loving homes :)

    purebreed + purebreed= crossbreed
    crossbreed + crossbreed = mongrel

They are beautiful, have any of them found homes yet?

And for the record.... does it really matter whether it is a mongrel or not? A dog is a dog whatever it's breeding. People say 'Mongrel' like it's a bad thing :( why does it really matter? I had a 'mongrel' and he was the best thing that ever happened to me, I don't care what he was, he was my best friend.

People don't mean it like that. All dogs are beautiful. And as long as they homed with a caring forever family it doesn't matter what breed/cross they are.
Most people don't see the need to cross breed when there are many many breeds to choose from. And then call them 'designer' names. Charge ludicrous prices etc. There are so many, far to many, serious health concerns with pedigree dogs and not genetically testing is just asking for trouble. This is why breeders keep within the breed, pay £100's to get their dogs tested, are good standards of the bred, etc etc and choose studs/bitches to match this.

I am NOT saying that the op is doing this far from it. I am just replying to your quote about mongrels. Just to clear that up before someone shoots me down!

Anyway thats all i'm saying. Ooh except that those pups are totally adorable :001_wub::001_wub: i think i am in love!! lol!! Good luck with finding them homes xxx

No it doesn't matter if it's a cross breed, but what the majority of folk don't like is the deliberate breeding of 2 dogs to create a cross breed then give it a daft name & charge top whack prices for.
All that without any health testing is wrong very wrong!

this post is not aimed at the op it's clearly just answering the above quote, unless of course the op is doing as discribed above ;)

I had mongrels most of my life :D There is nothing wrong with them what is wrong is the stupied names they are given that makes puppy buyers belive there getting some new breed!! and are fooled into paying very high prices witch are normally double the price of a pure bred :eek:ut:

im not going to give my views on cross breeding as i would be banned :D
