Izzy was originally rehomed through Lurcher Link about 4 years ago, but her owner's circumstances have now changed and her owner feels that she can no longer offer the type of home that Izzy needs.

Izzy is thought to be Whippet x Terrier and is about 5 years old, she's quite small and is fun loving and bouncy.

Izzy is spotless in the house, sleeps happily in a crate at night, and can be left for up to 6 hours without problem. Izzy is currently still with her owner in Derbyshire and lives with a very dog-confident cat. They tend to wind each other up, but it is purely a non-contact sport and are both happy with the situation!

Izzy loves other dogs, but can be rather boisterous. When she sees them on-lead she tends to pull and bark, but this is excitement, not aggression. Her owner has had help from Jim Greenwood with her training and she responds well, but would benefit from regular socialisation with other dogs to calm her down. She has lived in a multi-dog household when first fostered through LL and when her owner has been away on holiday and loved it!

Izzy needs a confident owner, someone who is used to terrier-type dogs, and given clear direction she is very loyal and obedient. She is too boisterous to live with younger children, but is quite happy with dog-confident older kids.

Izzy is still with her owner whilst she's looking for a new home. Here she is out on a recent walk. She also loves to play with her ball in the garden.

Izzy and her owner have now moved house and Izzy is settling well after the move and coping with the lack of a garden. However, she's urgently needing a new home or foster home because her owner's work is increasingly taking her abroad on business.
