Yesterday when I was in the bakers they had a big sponge cake coffee with walnuts on it, I brought it and took it to work last night we all had a slice with our cuppa, now comes the problem I got carried away and said I"d made it one of the women has asked for the recipe and has just phoned to remind me to write it down and bring it in tonight as she has never tasted a cake like it,cant tell the truth as only last week I was saying the one thing I cant stand is liars:eek:

    whoops
true what they say, lying always comes round and bites you in the bum. now you have four options...

1.say it is a secret family recipe and you cant give it away:D
    2. go down the bakers and beg them for the recipe:blink:
    3. give her some random recipe, and when it doesnt turn out like 'your' cake, tell her she is crap at baking
    4. fall over now and give yourself amnesia....what cake???;)

whatever you decide good luck with that

    I would opt for number 3 :D

Lets hope people don't start asking you to make them, it'll cost you a fortune and the baker will think you're a right greedy sod

give her a random recipe and check that the ingredients match those on the label of the bought cake lol, if not add in a teaspoon of whatever the ingredient is that's missing lmao...

also tell her you only use the recipe as a reference you've not actuallyused the correct quantities in years ;) you just fling stuff in and it turns out roughly the same each time..
