“No one would have believed in the first years of the 21st century that this world was being watched keenly and closely by intelligences greater than man's and yet as mortal as his own; that as men busied themselves about their various concerns they were scrutinised and studied, perhaps almost as narrowly as a man with a microscope might scrutinise the transient creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water.”

We had a set back today, Peter felt poorly then almost passed out, he was rushed to the garden centre and then onto to CCU (Chip Care Unit) where he was stabilised thankfully

I would like to thank staff at King Edwards hospital for the fantastic care

    come on, thats funny

I hope you've had all appropriate health tests carried out before you let that little spawn of Satan have progeny of his own. Is he registered with the Potato Marketing Board and Defra? Have you checked him for blight?

I think you're rushing into this without thinking it through. It's you Back Yard Farmers that have been the death of the British Potato Industry. Can't get a decent Maris Piper for love nor money these days - it's all these 'Anya' and 'fir apple' cross-breeds. Lovely little spuds, I don't doubt, but not what they're cracked up to be from a gourmand's perspective . . .

Sanitarium: Oh, God. It's not CollieBarmy again is it? (covers phone, but you can still hear him shout) Raymond! RAYMOND!!!

quieter voice: What? I'm eating a banana here.

Ist Sanatorium voice: CollieBarmy's on his way back in

quieter voice; Oh, hell. I'll hide the spuds.

Au contraire - as you can tell from Lavender's anxious, indeed, desperate phonecall to Le Bin des Loonies, we take it very seriously indeed . . .

About an hour at 200 degrees should be long enough. Buy butter.

I spoke to the shrink later, he said Peter was OK but wasnt quite ready to speak to the world, the 1st thing is to make sure he is feeling good in his own skin
